Iron Range Building and Construction Trades Endorse Rep. Jason Metsa for Congress

The Iron Range Building and Construction Trades join United Steelworkers (USW), United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1189, and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 294 in endorsing Metsa

Virginia, MN – Members of the Iron Range Building and Construction Trades voted unanimously to endorse Rep. Jason Metsa to represent Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District in Congress.

“Jason has fought for working Minnesotans at the Minnesota Capitol, and we know he’ll have our backs in Washington, DC,” said president Michael Syversrud. “We’re very proud to endorse him.”

In making this decision, Building Trades members cited Metsa’s experience serving in the Legislature, and his tireless efforts throughout his career supporting working families across the region.

Rep. Metsa currently represents House District 6B, which includes Virginia, Aurora, Eveleth, and Mountain Iron. Metsa is a fifth generation Iron Ranger and lives in Virginia with his wife, Amanda, and their son, Josiah.
